Role: Senior Global Development Medical Director leading clinical and scientific strategies for AstraZeneca's Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolic Diseases (CVRM) programs. Responsibilities: provide medical expertise across study design, execution, safety, data interpretation, and regulatory interactions; support publication, congress, and commercialization efforts; ensure adherence to GCP, safety, and regulatory standards; oversee safety surveillance, study risk mitigation, and contribute to clinical documentation including study reports. Requirements: Medical or scientific degree (MBBS, MD, PhD); 5-8+ years in clinical development with experience in protocol development, trial management, and data analysis; knowledge of biostatistics, global regulations, pharmacovigilance, and GCP. Preferred: expertise in CVRM, nephrology, cardiology, diabetes, obesity, NASH/MASH; experience with Phase IIb-IV and lifecycle studies; familiarity with regulatory submissions, publications, and external partnerships.
