Role Summary

The Senior FP&A Manager, Supply Chain provides strategic financial support to BioMarin's Global Supply Chain organization in TOPS (Technical Operations). This role serves as a key business partner to the Supply Chain leadership across Sales & Operations Planning, Commercial and Clinical product supply chains (including tariff mitigation), DOH optimization, and inventory entitlement modeling. The position leads budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning, and delivers financial analysis to guide supply chain decision making and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Key participant in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring that product supply plans align with long-term profitability and cash-flow targets; provide financial analysis and scenario modeling to support informed supply and network decision making.
  • Optimize working capital utilization across BioMarin’s commercial and clinical supply chain networks; provide data-driven financial insights on historical activity and recommendations for last-mile distribution and general logistics spend.
  • Partner with Supply Chain leadership to develop and deliver annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans, ensuring alignment with BioMarin’s strategic objectives.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial reviews, presenting performance analysis, identifying drivers of variances, and recommending actions for improvement.
  • Drive process improvements in financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and business insight.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Commercial Finance, and Corporate Finance, to ensure cohesive financial planning and execution.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to supply chain efficiency, working capital, and cost optimization.
  • Mentor and develop junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Required: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in FP&A or financial analysis roles, with at least 3 years supporting supply chain, manufacturing, or operations functions, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
  • Required: Strong analytical skills, with expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Required: Proficient in ERP and financial planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan), with advanced Excel skills.
  • Required: Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for senior management.
  • Required: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of business partnering and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Required: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Required: Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and cost accounting principles.
  • Preferred: Experience in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance requirements.
