Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, AI Studio

Role: Senior Forward Deployed Engineer in AI Studio within Amgen’s AI & Data Science organization. Responsible for leading complex AI and automation solution delivery throughout discovery, design, build, evaluation, deployment, and stabilization phases. Manages technical continuity, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and drives enterprise AI initiatives. Core tasks include translating business problems into technical solutions, building prototypes, defining architecture, orchestrating full-stack delivery, establishing governance/testing, and supporting production readiness via CI/CD and observability. Requirements: Doctorate with 1+ year, or Master’s with 8-10 years, or Bachelor’s with 10-12 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related. Essential skills include expertise in applied AI/ML, GenAI, RAG, cloud-native platforms (AWS, Bedrock, SageMaker, Databricks), Python, SQL, enterprise system integration, and experience in regulated environments (GxP, biotech, pharma). Preferred qualifications cover workflow analysis, solution architecture, security, responsible AI, and hands-on experience with AI platforms and full-stack development.
