Role Summary

Senior Financial Analyst, Global Oncology and Interventional Oncology (INTO) R&D, supporting Discovery & Early Development. This role can be based in New Jersey (Raritan or Titusville) or Pennsylvania (Spring House) with up to 10% travel. The analyst will provide financial leadership, support, and analysis to the Discovery & Early Development Oncology and INTO portfolio, own and manage key upcoming assets by collaborating with senior business partners to meet financial commitments, and influence decision-making aligned with TA strategy. The role will also lead the overall Portfolio Valuations exercise for Oncology, including framing and communicating insights to senior leaders in IM R&D.

Responsibilities

  • Provide robust financial support to Oncology Discovery/ED VP through owning and leading the forecasting and quarter close processes for the Discovery/ED Portfolio
  • Lead financial support for Compound Development Team (CDT) and New Molecular Entity (NME) governance reviews with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
  • Partner with the global innovation centers to forecast deal model financials and influence contract language on behalf of IM R&D
  • Lead finance activities (i.e. Joint Finance Committee, External Forecasting & Close, etc.) on behalf of IM R&D for several external collaborations
  • Lead overall Long Range Financial Oncology Portfolio Valuations including shaping and framing strategic insights to senior leaders
  • Develop and lead Senior Management presentations through concise framing while providing transparency regarding key decision points, tradeoffs, and risk & opportunities to the plan
  • Demonstrate strong financial leadership by providing recommendations for improving the quality & value of financial information supplied to senior management to support decision making

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications is preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years finance or related business experience is required.
  • Candidate must possess strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong financial analysis competencies and have a proven ability to think analytically and work collaboratively.
  • The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required.
  • The ability to effectively take on leadership roles in various functions is required.
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle several tasks simultaneously.
  • This position requires a highly motivated individual with intellectual curiosity and proven leadership skills.
