The Position
- Leads financial performance management and strategic decision support for DPM US; senior Finance advisor to business leadership.
- Accountable for consolidated performance oversight across planning, execution, close, and performance dialogue; translates financial/operational results into insights for resource allocation and strategic choices.
- Strengthens financial governance, forecasting quality, and continuous improvement of reporting/decision-support processes linked to FP&A, business case evaluation, and investment performance.
Essential Functions
- Act as trusted Finance advisor/sparring partner to senior leaders on performance, financial outlook, and strategic priorities.
- Lead performance management cycle (annual budget, rolling forecasts, long-range planning) with Finance and FP&A.
- Own end-to-end performance management for DPM US (AB/RE/LE, rolling forecasts, budget, long-range planning).
- Provide consolidated financial performance view for DPM US with consistency, transparency, and high analytical quality.
- Deliver performance reporting and decision support; lead monthly/quarterly business reviews and follow-up.
- Coordinate month-end close and financial consolidation for DPM US.
- Perform advanced variance analysis; identify structural issues, emerging risks, and value opportunities.
- Develop/maintain financial models; lead scenario planning and sensitivity analyses.
- Evaluate investments/business cases/capital allocation decisions.
- Ensure financial governance, compliance, internal controls, and risk management.
- Influence decisions through data-driven insights and financial challenge; partner with Accounting/FP&A/Global Finance.
- Drive continuous improvement using digital/analytics/BI tools; build Finance capability without direct line management.
- Follow safety and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
- Masterโs in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business Administration or related field (accredited) + 5+ years progressive Finance/FP&A/Business Finance/Controlling/Finance Business Partnering.
- Alternative: Bachelorโs + 7+ years progressive experience in the same functions.
- Required: partnering with senior leaders; strong planning/forecasting, performance management, financial modeling/business case development, investment/portfolio analysis, management reporting, cost management/resource allocation.
- Advanced analytical/problem-solving; excellent communication/stakeholder management; English fluency.
- Preferred: pharmaceutical/life science/manufacturing/highly regulated industry; complex global/matrix environments; value chain economics/operational finance; SAP/Copilot; leadership of cross-functional projects/initiatives; cross-functional influence; continuous improvement mindset.
