Role Summary

Senior Finance Manager, EPM Data Design Product Owner to shape the strategic direction of finance data architecture for Johnson & Johnson’s global enterprise. Lead a team to deliver innovative, scalable data solutions that enable financial planning, management reporting, and analytics. Translate complex business processes into robust data models, ensuring alignment with immediate project needs and long-term organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 10 business data architects, engineers, and analysts to design and maintain data models for Commercial, IBP, and Supply Chain Planning & Analytics within a multi-year enterprise transformation program.
  • Conduct data fit-gap evaluations for deployments, collaborating with technical partners to profile data sources per process requirements.
  • Provide strategic guidance across all SigniFi workstreams to ensure cohesive, sustainable, and scalable solution designs; align senior leaders on solutioning and communicate risks and mitigations.
  • Develop and maintain Data Design Documents (DDD) to memorialize key decisions for run state teams.
  • Coordinate with Data Validation teams to drive data quality and analysis across project phases, including testing and production validation.
  • Collaborate with Finance Data Governance to oversee SigniFi CIM design in the Finance Data Hub Platform for all use cases.
  • Ensure smooth transition of new data processes to run state owners with knowledge transfer and ongoing support post-deployment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Finance or IT majors preferred
  • 8+ years of experience with at least 5 years in relational database management/data modeling/data warehousing (preferred)
  • SQL experience required; strong technical systems background (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, SAP Finance, BW, MDM)
  • Experience crafting sophisticated technology solutions for a large, complex business landscape
  • Experience supervising direct reports to develop talent in data, systems, and business processes
  • Extensive experience with Financial Planning tools and technology
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in a matrixed, multi-team delivery model
  • Deep knowledge of organizational systems and interdependencies to align with FS&T agenda
  • Strong relationship-building with peers and senior stakeholders to drive technology adoption
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to thrive in ambiguous situations
  • Team-oriented with collaborative approach
  • Experience detailing best practices and enforcing governance in a team
  • Commitment to continuous integration, improvement, and automation for stable deliverables
  • Strong Project Management skills or experience leading implementations (preferred)
  • Role can be in any J&J location, but presence in New Brunswick, NJ may be required ad hoc
  • Up to 25% domestic and/or international travel may be required based on home location

Skills

  • Required: Strong data modeling, enterprise data architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and data governance capabilities
  • Preferred: Experience with SigniFi CIM design and Anaplan modeling for finance solutions

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Finance or IT majors preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Travel up to 25% domestically and/or internationally, depending on home location
  • Presence in New Brunswick, NJ, may be required on an ad hoc basis
