Role Summary
The Sr. Manager, Demand Planning in Neuroscience leads operational execution, data analysis, and contractual performance measurement for AbbVie's CNS brands in the U.S. This role analyzes wholesaler and specialty pharmacy buying patterns to inform financial impacts, manages distribution-related agreements, and collaborates across Commercial Forecasting, Pricing, Finance, Trade, and Operations to provide concise recommendations to external wholesale customers/vendors.
Responsibilities
- Commercial Insights: Provide supply channel analytical support to AbbVie’s CNS brands sold in the U.S. and deliver weekly insights to Commercial Forecasting on to-market wholesale performance. Proactively originate, inform, participate in, and execute analyses to deliver actionable business insights; organize and analyze large data sets to extract key insights.
- Duopa/Vyalev Order Fulfillment: Review product orders against historical purchase trends and inventory DOH levels, coordinate with Customer Service, Trade, Warehousing, or Transportation to prepare and deliver shipments; engage stakeholders, build consensus, and act under tight timelines.
- Administration of Duopa/Vyalev Distribution Service Agreements (DSA): Calculate wholesaler performance across purchase stability, inventory DOH, order fulfillment rates, and data submissions via EDI; present weekly performance and ensure clear communication of methods and data; manage payments and contract terms.
Other Operational Responsibilities:- Be the key Demand Planning Finance contact for Qulipta/Ubrelvy/Vraylar/Vyalev & Duopa.
- Assist in determining channel quantities for new CNS products/NDC launches with Customer Service Operations, Forecasting, and Supply Chain.
- Engage with external data aggregators to ensure data quality and develop proficiency with external data portal tools.
- Maintain high attention to detail, perform data quality control, adapt to changing priorities, and make timely data-driven decisions and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or general business is required; CPA or MBA is a plus.
- Knowledge of financial problem solving and analysis; ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations; interest in pharmaceutical wholesale/retail channels.
- 7-10 years of overall business experience, ideally including commercial finance, cost accounting, auditing, financial reporting, or financial planning and analysis.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; SAP/BPC; scenario planning experience; data presentation skills; PowerPoint experience preferred.
