Role Summary

The R&D Finance Analyst – Clinical Development supports global finance processes for the clinical development team. This role involves maintaining existing workflows and collaborating with clinical finance managers and business partners to identify and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the eRoss administration (Clinical Trial Approval) system, including approver maintenance and report generation to support internal control activities.
  • Maintain SRM and Compass systems and troubleshoot cost center issues as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical finance managers and study forecasters to develop, document, and support standardized processes that effectively address evolving business dynamics and requirements.
  • Ensure all standardized process deliverables are well documented, aligned, and compliant with internal policies.
  • Support post-R&D governance activities by assisting external functional teams in updating their latest business estimates (LBEs) or forecast cycles to reflect relevant changes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across R&D and Global Finance organizations.
  • Assist the PFM in managing clinical trials within the Immunology and/or Neuroscience portfolios.

This is a hybrid role based in Lake County, IL

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Preferred 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and constructively challenge the status quo
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities. Highlights important issues quickly, while proactively seeking out and presenting potential solutions.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and aptitude for continuous improvement and change
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Preferred knowledge and proficiency in systems, particularly Excel, SAP and BPC
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and achieve required timelines

Education
