Responsibilities:
- Provide product education and logistical assistance to patients, caregivers, HCP, and site-of-care staff.
- Work with patients to complete next steps for gaining and maintaining access to therapy; use BioMarin-approved educational materials.
- Collaborate with account teams to move cases from referral to specialty pharmacy/wholesaler/clinic shipment to product start.
- Ensure timely therapy initiation and adherence-related activities for patients in BioMarin RareConnections.
- Secure written/electronic HIPAA consent for patients in assigned geography.
- Conduct ongoing education on disease and product administration technique (patient/caregiver and clinic/infusion site).
- Educate patients on coverage/prior authorization steps based on benefits.
- Partner with FRMs to investigate access challenges pre- and post-infusion and coordinate with providers/patients.
- Coordinate with specialty pharmacy nursing teams for home infusion support.
- Partner with Safety/PV and report AEβs and product complaints through medical information.
- Maintain compliance with professional standards and applicable federal/state/local requirements.

Qualifications/Experience:
- 6+ years pharmaceutical experience as a patient educator.
- Allied health education preferred (BSN or advanced practitioner).
- Prior sales experience desired; cross-functional team experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com; excellent written/verbal communication.
