Role: Senior Facility Engineer leading complex infrastructure projects at Takeda’s Round Lake site, focusing on reliability, utility optimization, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include managing major initiatives such as cleanroom modifications, system upgrades (WFI, RO water, steam, HVAC), and site shutdowns; overseeing utility systems and ensuring compliance with GMP standards; developing KPIs for system performance; and leading change controls, risk assessments, and vendor management. The role supports sustainability efforts, capital planning, and infrastructure improvements, partnering with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and Maintenance. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field, 5+ years’ experience in regulated environments supporting facilities and utilities, with hands-on expertise in HVAC, clean utilities, and GMP compliance; proven project management skills; strong communication and stakeholder management. Preferred: Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing, cleanroom environments, aseptic facilities, and sustainability initiatives. The position involves physical activity, working in controlled environments, and supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including non-traditional hours and occasional travel. Location: On-site in Round Lake, IL; full-time, exempt.
