Role: Senior analytical scientist supporting gene therapy development, focusing on characterizing gene therapy products using mass spectrometry. Responsibilities: design and execute protein mass spectrometry-based assays (peptide mapping, intact/middle-down MS, quantitative methods like TMT and label-free); utilize chromatography (HPLC), capillary electrophoresis, and biophysical assays for product characterization, lot release, and stability; contribute to project strategies, author validation reports and technical documents for regulatory filings; mentor team members and drive innovation in analytical methods; troubleshoot technical challenges and maintain compliance with GMP standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (minimum 5+ years industry experience), or Master's/PhD with relevant experience in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology; deep expertise in high-resolution protein MS (Thermo Tribrid preferred), familiarity with analytical software (Byos, Proteome Discoverer, BioPharmaFinder, Xcalibur), and understanding of gene therapy modalities (AAV, lentivirus). Preferred: experience with gene therapy analytics, GMP environments, and development of novel assays. High-Value: gene therapy (AAV, LVV), clinical development, analytical characterization, GMP compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. Location: Onsite East Hanover, US.
