Role: Senior/Executive Director, Reverse Translation (Oncology) leading a laboratory-based group within Translational Research to investigate mechanisms of action, resistance, and combination strategies across the oncology spectrum. Objectives include generating insights from clinical observations, developing hypotheses to inform pipeline growth, and addressing mechanistic questions from disease-area teams. Responsibilities encompass leading independent mechanistic studies, prioritizing cross-program questions, building and managing the research platform (omics, functional biology, models), and translating findings into next-generation hypotheses. The leader will consolidate and oversee a multi-disciplinary lab team, serve on the Translational Research leadership team, and collaborate with Discovery, Medical Affairs, and Commercial units. The role emphasizes scientific rigor, impactful publications, and strategic scientific planning. Preferred skills involve multi-omics, perturbation biology, organoid models, and designing resistance/reversal strategies, with experience in drug mechanisms and cross-functional partnership. High-value biopharma specifics include focus on oncology (solid and hematologic malignancies), mechanisms of resistance, combination therapies, and early development stages. Location options include Spring House, PA; Cambridge, MA; or San Diego, CA, with a focus on cross-functional leadership and laboratory-based research.
