Role: Senior/Executive Director, Reverse Translation (Oncology Translational Research) responsible for leading a laboratory-based reverse-translation group within Oncology to address mechanistic questions and support pipeline growth. Responsibilities include designing and executing studies on drug mechanisms, resistance, and combination strategies across solid and hematologic cancers; consolidating and leading multidisciplinary bench teams; managing platforms in omics, functional biology, and models; and collaborating closely with Discovery, Medical Affairs, and Commercial functions. The role involves strategic leadership, scientific hypothesis generation, and publication contributions, with participation in the Core SLT for Translational Research. Qualifications: PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in relevant fields; 10+ years (Sr Director) or 12+ years (Exec Director) in oncology discovery or translational research with hands-on lab leadership; proven track record of mechanistic research translating clinical insights into hypotheses; experience with multiomics, perturbation biology, and combination strategies preferred. High-value specifics include focus on oncology, both solid and hematologic, with emphasis on resistance, MOA, and combination therapies, supporting early to late-stage development.
