Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide expert medical and scientific support to improve outcomes for people with cancer, including drugs in development, marketed products, and the disease state.
- Develop clinical/scientific narratives, engage external stakeholders, identify evidence gaps, and shape scientific strategy and data dissemination.
- Support strategic planning, drug development, and commercialization activities.
- Lead medical affairs team (3β4 medical affairs professionals), provide mentorship and performance management.
- Shape breast cancer strategy and execution plans across the US and rest of the world.
- Engage external customers via KOLs, investigators, advisory boards, and congress activities; accelerate clinical trial enrollment through messaging and investigator/site engagement.
- Identify evidence gaps; develop evidence generation proposals and scientific disclosure strategy.
- Collaborate on drug development plans and clinical trials; support investigator identification/selection.
- Support scientific data dissemination (abstracts, posters, manuscripts), medical education (CME/omnichannel), and promotional material input.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO); board-eligible/certified or completed comparable post-medical school clinical training relevant to the country of hiring.
- Medical school education meeting LCME requirements (or listed foreign medical school requirements).
Additional/Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Oncology experience.
- Clinical research or pharmaceutical medicine experience preferred.
- Breast cancer tumor expertise strongly preferred.
- Pre-launch and launch readiness experience highly valued.
- Strong project management; cross-functional leadership; scientific communication and translation of complex data.
- Ability to travel ~20β30%; fluent English; geographically flexible (based in the US).
