Senior Equipment Technician

Role: Senior Equipment Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating complex capital and manufacturing equipment within a biopharma manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, coordinating maintenance, supporting steam plant operations, troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, managing vendor relations, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role also involves training and mentoring junior technicians, developing SOPs, managing equipment documentation within the Regulatory Asset Manager system, and overseeing facility projects. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent with 5-8 years relevant experience; preferred an associate’s degree with 3-5 years. Specific licenses such as Class 2B MN Boilers and experience with boilers/steam systems are required; HVAC, electrical, and plumbing licenses are preferred. Skills include mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting complex equipment, building utility systems knowledge, multi-trade proficiency, and computer literacy in MS Office. High-value biopharma specifics include experience with biotech equipment, clean room work, and facility utilities management. Work is onsite with potential extended hours and travel to off-site locations. The position emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and collaborative problem-solving within a regulated manufacturing environment.
