Senior Engineer - Process Development

Role: Senior Process Engineer within Illumina's Manufacturing Technology and Transfer group, focusing on developing and scaling manufacturing processes for sequencing consumables in regulated environments. Responsibilities: support product development, optimize processes via design of experiments, facilitate technology transfer from development to high-volume manufacturing, and manage supplier relationships and process validation activities. Engage cross-functionally with Product Development, Quality, Supply Chain, and CMOs; lead supplier notifications, troubleshoot issues using methodologies like Six Sigma and DFSS; conduct process audits and oversee vendor performance. Requirements: Ph.D. in Engineering or related field with 1-3+ years or B.S./M.S. with 5+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor, microelectronic, or biotech manufacturing; experience with CMOS processes, microelectronics assembly, CMO management, and high-volume transfer is preferred.
