Senior Engineer – Automation Engineering (Lilly Medicine Foundry)

Responsibilities
- Provide automation support for operating areas and/or capital projects; ensure reliable, compliant control applications/systems are used in manufacturing.
- Lead integration from analytical systems into DeltaV/Rockwell and manage recipe setup/maintenance for Foundry Lab/Admin PLC-controlled systems.
- Serve as technical point of contact during phased lab onboarding; support deployment/configuration.
- Mentor engineer-level staff supporting PLC systems.
- Support project teams/system integrators with deployment and initial configuration of PLC-based equipment (DeltaV, Rockwell, third-party PLC, custom SCADA); validate against site standards.
- Own post go-live integration and recipe maintenance; manage change control, versioning, backup/restore.
- Coordinate data integration touchpoints where PLC equipment feeds PI, DCS, or shared repositories; maintain validated state with documentation/change management.
- Provide status updates to Automation Engineering leadership.

Basic Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering (or relevant scientific discipline) and 3+ years in Automation Engineering (preferably pharmaceutical manufacturing).
- Experience supporting/deploying PLC/SCADA control systems (Rockwell, DeltaV, or equivalent).
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; no visa sponsorship.

Additional Preferences
- Recipe management/configuration on Rockwell or DeltaV.
- Experience with phased/greenfield commissioning.
- Integration of PLC equipment data to PI/DCS/other repositories.

Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated wage: $66,000–$171,600; may be eligible for a company bonus.
