Role Summary / Responsibilities
- Provide overall project management expertise for Vaccines Global Product Teams; create strategic/operational objectives from early (lead) development through Proof of Concept or licensure (as applicable), and post-approval commitments.
- Ensure deliverables are achieved on/above schedule and within budget while meeting desired product profile and business criteria.
- Support portfolio planning and governance as needed.

Program Strategy
- Partner with Research Lead/Clinical Lead to develop development strategies, plans, and budgets; drive operational discipline via adherence to approved strategy, budget, timelines.
- Analyze vaccine portfolio/strategy issues; prepare executive reports/presentations for vaccine stakeholders.

Program Planning and Management
- Use project management planning tools; understand milestones and how individual timelines affect overall programs.
- Manage issues resolution with stakeholders; facilitate meetings and drive rapid response to new information.
- Lead options/scenario/risk analysis under ambiguity to efficiently achieve future value.

Team Effectiveness & Leadership
- Build trust/collaboration; develop relationships across functions and senior management; manage conflict and difficult situations.
- Influence to resolve controversial issues; challenge for high-quality decisions; communicate effectively for timely decisions.

Scientific/Process Knowledge
- Apply understanding of vaccine development, science, competitive landscape, governance processes, and integrate cross-functional data for strategic guidance.

Qualifications (Required/Preferred)
- Preferred: MS/PhD/MD in relevant biology/biochemistry or related discipline.
- 10+ years in biotechnology with vaccine/drug development expertise.
- Proven project management success with cross-disciplinary, matrix teams.
- Experience influencing thought leaders and rationalizing scientific/business strategies.
- Strong verbal/written communication; proactive problem-solving; ability to positively impact others.

Other Information / Benefits
- Relocation eligible; eligible for employee referral bonus.
- Annual base salary range: $214,900–$358,100; eligible for Global Performance Plan bonus (target 22.5%) and long-term incentive.
