Position Overview
Senior Director of US Commercial Strategy and Operations Planning (CS&O)
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with commercial leadership to develop and refine strategic initiatives that support market expansion and revenue growth.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Head of Commercial Strategy & Operations; provide thought leadership and operational support to align initiatives with business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Monitor execution of key initiatives, ensure accountability, and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
- Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations for executive leadership and board meetings as needed.
- Consolidate and track operational plans to support strategic goals; ensure alignment with sales, marketing, market access, and medical affairs.
- Oversee CS&O governance framework, including governance committees, cross-functional pods, and the CS&O program management office.
- Partner with finance to develop and manage budgets and ensure resource optimization.
- Coordinate across functional teams to facilitate execution of strategic priorities and remove barriers.
- Participate in Enterprise and Commercial Operations Councils to support coordination, planning, and execution.
- Champion knowledge-sharing practices and develop platforms/forums to improve integration, creative problem-solving, and innovation.
- Identify and address operational inefficiencies to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to adapt strategies and operations.
- Foster team culture and engagement via Town Halls, offsites, and recognition programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field (required); MBA or advanced degree (preferred).
- 12โ15+ years of experience in commercial operations/strategy & insights/commercial data & analytics or related field, with a significant portion in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proven track record leading successful product launches/high-growth products, high-impact initiatives, and cross-functional teams in complex, regulated environments.
