Role Overview
- Lead U.S. advocacy strategy across Gilead’s Oncology portfolio (primary focus on a late-stage asset), elevating the patient’s voice and advancing oncology vision.
- Drive an integrated “One PA” approach with U.S. Commercial, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, and Global Public Affairs Centers of Excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive U.S. advocacy strategy aligned to commercial planning, clinical milestones, global oncology strategy, and enterprise objectives.
- Set advocacy partner vision/priorities/engagement; maintain patient narrative (core messaging, data storylines, storytelling tools).
- Advise senior leaders across Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Government Affairs (including TNMBC efforts).
- Represent U.S. Oncology Public Affairs on cross-functional teams; support product launches and key clinical/regulatory milestones.
- Lead global-to-local alignment; design advocacy partnerships/programs; serve as primary relationship lead for key advocacy organizations.
- Lead/mentor team; oversee agencies/sponsorships; manage funding/partnership processes; drive operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years relevant experience, or Master’s with 12+ years.
- Proven experience leading product-related advocacy tied to clinical data, regulatory milestones, and launch prep.
- Ability to influence senior leaders, academic experts, and patient advocates.
- Strong written/verbal/interpersonal communication; experience in oncology/advocacy/government affairs/policy/medical affairs.
Preferred
- Non-U.S./global experience; passion for oncology/public health; digital communications/analytics/impact measurement; advocacy/sponsorship regulatory knowledge.
