About the Role
The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is a field-based commercial strategist and trusted advisor who embeds the voice of Gastroenterology (GI) experts into Lilly’s commercial decisions, elevating peer-to-peer education that improves patient outcomes and strengthening long-term leadership in Immunology.
Responsibilities
- Build and sustain deep partnerships with 30–40 GI Thought Leaders (HCPs and KOS); identify next-wave TLs.
- Maintain a prioritized view of contracted faculty, rising stars, and emerging influencers; conduct annual faculty assessment.
- Engage current and rising TLs upstream; coach/develop faculty via monthly in-clinic and live touchpoints.
- Lead GI-fluencer identification; manage the LUSA partnership in coordination with Brand.
- Translate brand strategy into local behavior change; deploy P2P and expert influence to drive adoption.
- Generate high-quality insights that influence upstream commercial decisions.
- Maintain presence at priority congresses; provide post-congress “so what/now what” actions.
- Provide field perspective into Customer Planning and Business Planning; partner with Market Research.
- Coach faculty for clinical aptitude and podium excellence; ensure compliant P2P education.
- Provide strategic input into P2P content/key messages; develop sales force P2P educational initiatives and workshop content.
- Attend brand meetings selectively; create FCAPs/RFSs; train sales reps on P2P procedures.
- Complete required clinical, compliance, and ITP training; adhere to all company policies.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Required professional certification/license (if state-required)
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- US full-time work authorization (no visa sponsorship for this role)
Preferred Skills
- Senior-leader performance management; prior Marketing or TLL experience; prior launch experience
- Advanced graduate degree (PhD/MPH/PharmD/MBA)
- 7–10 years industry experience (Immunology strongly preferred)
- US affiliate marketing approval process knowledge; external agency/vendor management
- High clinical aptitude for complex GI biologic discussions
- Translate insights into strategic brand input; measurable local market shaping
- Strong communication/problem-solving/influence skills
- Knowledge of regional market dynamics/TL relationships; apply Compliance Policies & Good Promotional Practices
Additional Information
- Approximately 50–70% domestic travel (evenings/weekends)
- Must reside within ~30 miles of a hub-city airport (Northeast)
