About The Role:
The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is a field-based commercial strategist and trusted advisor who embeds Dermatology and Allergy expert voice into Lilly’s commercial decisions—translating external expertise into strategy, elevating peer-to-peer education that improves patient outcomes, and strengthening Immunology leadership from prelaunch through commercialization.
Responsibilities:
- TL Relationship Depth & Local Market Activation (~40%): Build and sustain partnerships with 30–40 Dermatology/Allergy thought leaders (HCPs, KOS); maintain a prioritized view of contracted faculty, rising stars, and emerging influencers; conduct annual faculty assessment; engage and coach/develop TLs via monthly touchpoints; lead Dermfluencer identification; translate brand strategy into local behavior change and adoption using P2P/expert influence.
- Strategic Insight, Congress & External Landscape (~45%): Deliver structured insight initiatives that influence upstream decisions; maintain presence at priority congresses with post-event “so what/now what” synthesis; provide field perspective into Customer Planning and Business Planning; own RHM stewardship and partnership on the external TL landscape.
- P2P Education Excellence & Speaker Development: Coach faculty for clinical aptitude and podium excellence; ensure compliant P2P education; provide strategic input on content/messages; develop vision for sales force P2P initiatives and workshop content.
- Selective Execution Oversight & Internal Alignment (~15%): Attend brand meetings selectively; create FCAPs/RFSs; train sales reps on P2P procedures; complete required clinical, compliance, and ITP training and adhere to policies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Professional certification/license required by specific state (if applicable)
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Authorized to work in the US full-time; no visa sponsorship for this role
Preferred Skills:
- Senior-leader performance management (prior sales/marketing leadership), prior Marketing or TLL experience, prior launch experience
- Advanced degree (PhD/MPH/PharmD/MBA)
- 7–10 years industry experience (Immunology strongly preferred) with leadership, customer-facing results, and TL engagement
- US affiliate marketing approval processes; external agency/vendor management
- High clinical aptitude for complex biologics discussions (Dermatology/Allergy)
- Ability to translate insights into strategic brand input and measurable market adoption change
- Strong communication/problem-solving/influence skills
- Knowledge of regional market dynamics/TL relationships; ability to apply Compliance Policies and Good Promotional Practices
Additional Information (Role Logistics):
- ~50–70% domestic travel (evenings/weekends)
- Must reside within ~30 miles of a hub-city airport in the Central South Region
