Role: Senior Director of Theranostics and Radiation Science within AstraZeneca's Early Oncology R&D, leading the Radiation Science team and strategy across imaging and dosimetry from early to late-phase development. Responsibilities include shaping dosimetry frameworks, managing external vendor relationships, overseeing imaging protocol optimization, and ensuring regulatory compliance and interactions, particularly with radioactive materials. The role involves providing mentorship to scientific staff, facilitating cross-functional collaboration across Clinical Operations, Preclinical, Pharmacometrics, DMPK, and Regulatory teams, and representing the organization in scientific and regulatory forums. Qualifications: Ph.D. in medical physics, physics, or related field; 10+ years in nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, or radiopharmaceuticals, including 3-5 years in industry; board certification preferred; extensive experience with personalized dosimetry software (e.g., OLINDA, MIM), nuclear medicine imaging (SPECT/PET), and radiation physics; proficiency in programming (MATLAB, R, Python) and image processing. High-Value: deep expertise in radiopharmaceuticals, dosimetry, nuclear medicine imaging, and regulatory standards; leadership in cross-functional projects; experience supporting regulatory submissions; travel 5-10%. Work setup: predominantly in-office, with flexibility.
