Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage core GxP/Qualified ITSM functions (requests, incident, problem, CAPA, deviations, change management).
- Build an adaptive service desk with coverage for standard business hours (US & EU) and 24/7 after-hours support.
- Develop scalable desktop engineering, cloud-focused infrastructure and networking groups.
- Develop a workplace applications team supporting O365, Box, Okta, MDM, DocuSign, and other IT operations systems.
- Develop and maintain 3-year technology roadmaps, total cost of ownership, and value realization models for core IT operations systems.
- Lead a team of FTEs and managed service providers supporting service desk, infrastructure, and workplace applications.
- Manage relationships with key technology vendors and research partners.
- Champion ITSM processes to ensure accurate, timely data and service delivery.
- Collaborate with other IT teams for efficient hand-offs and communications.
- Partner with the Vice President of IT and lead key initiatives.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
- Experience supporting qualified infrastructure/systems in the life sciences industry.
- Successful delivery of complex technology projects.
- Strategic thinker leveraging technology to solve business problems.
- Ability to translate business growth, regulatory expectations, and operational risk into roadmaps, service models, and measurable execution plans.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL 4 for building quality processes.
- Regulated life sciences IT service experience (GxP, validated/qualified systems, audit readiness, change control, deviations, CAPA, evidence-based operations).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- BS/BA required.
- 12+ years in life sciences focused on IT system delivery.
- 5+ years managing Service Desk, IT Operations, and Infrastructure teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
