Your Role:
The Senior Director, TSMS will provide technical and strategic leadership for the Elanco monoclonal antibody (mAb) portfolio and support the mAb product pipeline. Based at the Elwood, Kansas manufacturing facility, the role is a key member of the Site Leadership team with oversight of the local Technical Services & Manufacturing Science (TSMS) function, including business planning, department management, and recruitment/talent development.
Your Responsibilities:
- Technical & Site Leadership: Lead TSMS activities at the Elwood facility and across the mAb network; serve as a global SME aligning technical operations with corporate strategy.
- End-to-End Technology Transfer: Transfer mAb technologies from R&D to commercial manufacturing; complete manufacturability reviews, scale-up, and validation on time with robust process control.
- Operational Excellence & Growth: Drive continuous improvement to optimize productivity, gross margin, and capacity; manage capital budgets; evaluate third-party sourcing.
- Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Global Quality, cGMP, and HSE standards; maintain process controls and proactive safety culture.
- Talent & Organizational Development: Recruit, build, and mentor a high-performing TSMS organization; set performance objectives; develop regulatory readiness.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a biomanufacturing related discipline.
- 15+ years in regulated commercial manufacturing; 10+ years in leadership/supervisory experience.
- 5+ years in development and/or manufacture of monoclonal antibody products.

- Advanced degree.
- Knowledge of USDA, FDA, and EU GMP for veterinary biologics.
- Problem-solving experience; ability to identify issues/opportunities.

- Experience operating in a matrixed organization.
