Position Summary
The Senior Director, Strategy & Operations / Chief of Staff serves as a critical thought partner and strategic operator for the SVP, Cell Therapy Commercial, and plays a central role in driving the performance and culture of the global Cell Therapy Commercial organization. Develop innovative solutions to simplify and track key events and deliverables across the commercial organization, proactively identify opportunities, and ensure solutions are incorporated. Lead a team of Strategy & Operations individuals to support key operational needs of the commercial organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a mix of direct and matrix high performance teams; conceptualize and articulate a team vision that energizes all functional areas and stakeholders.
- Support Cell Therapy Commercial Leadership to achieve critical business and key cross-functional outcomes through effective processes (e.g., Executive Encounters, Budget Planning, Business Reviews).
- Drive the Commercial Cell Therapy Leadership Team operating model, including meeting cadences, decision-making frameworks (including DAI), and cross-functional operating mechanisms across US and international markets.
- Monitor and track organizational performance against strategic priorities and leadership commitments; proactively flag risks and drive course corrections across global markets.
- Act as Chief of Staff to the SVP, Cell Therapy Commercial: trusted advisor, anticipate needs, shape agendas, ensure disciplined follow-through on global priorities; orchestrate internal and external engagement planning.
- Manage preparation for executive forums and produce crisp, storyline-driven materials reflecting US and WW performance and outlook.
- Lead internal communication strategy for the global Cell Therapy Commercial organization (LT communications, Town Halls, organizational updates, culture-building activities across geographies); ensure messaging is crisp, consistent, aligned with values, and reflects urgency/competitive intensity.
- Drive enterprise and global initiatives including process simplification, organizational engagement, and transformation at the WW Cell Therapy Commercial level.
Qualifications & Experience
- BA/BS required. MBA, PharmD, or other graduate degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years combined commercial experience across related disciplines (Marketing, Medical, Commercial Operations, Finance, or Management Consulting).
- Ability to achieve organizational focus on key priorities; clear direction, delegation, active communication and coaching; seek broad input from appropriate stakeholders.
- Mentor, people developer, and team builder; strong organizational/administrative skills; sense of urgency.
- Team player who collaborates cross-functionally, listens effectively, builds alignment, shares/circulates information, and builds consensus.

- Deep understanding of US bio-pharma commercial market and dynamics required.
- Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical industry; global understanding of end-to-end drug development, manufacturing, and commercialization; relevant Cell Therapy experience preferable.
- Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking and commercial operational acumen to identify opportunities and drive superior results.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication; experience delivering complex messages to internal/external customers and influencing through presentations.
