The Senior Director, Quality Transformation & Digital Enablement – Transformation Office, leads the integration of Quality digital technologies and strategies to enhance performance, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across Eli Lilly’s Quality organization.
Digital Quality Strategy: Develop and implement digital strategies that align with Quality transformation and digital innovation goals.
System Deployment and Lifecycle Governance: Lead the design, implementation, and sustainment of digital quality systems (e.g., ERP, MES). Partner with IT and functional leaders to ensure compliance and usability across GxP areas.
Cross-Functional Quality Transformation: Drive continuous improvement across Quality processes and data systems. Partner globally to embed digital enablement into core quality operations.
Performance Measurement and Reporting: Establish quality performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks. Ensure organizational visibility and data-driven decision making.
Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance: Manage risk in digital innovation through early integration of regulatory and compliance requirements. Ensure systems meet evolving global regulatory expectations.
Vendor and Technology Oversight: Provide quality oversight for digital health solutions and third-party technologies used in clinical and commercial operations. Ensure technology partners align with quality objectives.
Capability Building and Change Leadership: Lead change management efforts and upskill global quality teams. Foster adoption of digital tools and cultivate a continuous improvement culture.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing global team. Champion inclusion, talent development, and strategic capability building.
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
10-12 years of experience in Technical Operations, or IT.
Successful track record of leading digital transformations or enterprise system implementations.
Experience managing global cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed organizations.
Deep knowledge of GxP, quality systems (QMS, CAPA, audit readiness), and regulatory compliance.
Digital and data fluency (dashboards, automation, analytics).
Executive-level communication and stakeholder engagement.
Change management, continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma).
Strong decision-making, influence, and cross-cultural leadership.
Experience in regulated environments, preferably pharma or life sciences.
MBA or MS in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Quality preferred.
Professional certifications in Quality, Regulatory, or Operational Excellence (e.g., ASQ, Lean Six Sigma).
Experience as business/system owner for enterprise digital platforms.
Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and AI/ML in quality operations.
Exposure to Agile, product development life cycle, or tech-enabled solutions.
Global system deployment and integration experience.
Knowledge of data integrity principles (e.g., ALCOA+).

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$151,500 - $222,200
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
