Role: Senior Director, Quality Control at Gilead, overseeing QC operations for small molecule and biologics at the La Verne site. Objectives: ensure GMP compliance, inspection readiness, and analytical support across the product lifecycle, supporting commercial manufacturing and pipeline development. Responsibilities: lead QC functions including analytical, microbiology, raw materials, in-process, drug substance, and stability programs; develop and execute site QC strategy aligned with global standards; support regulatory inspections and audits; build technical capabilities through talent development; drive continuous improvement via lean principles, digitalization, and automation; harmonize QC network practices; collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, MSAT, QA, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams. Qualifications: Bachelorโs degree in a scientific discipline with 14+ years or Masterโs/PhD with 12+ years in pharma/biopharma GMP environments; proven leadership in Quality Control, analytical sciences, and regulatory inspection support (FDA, EMA, etc.); strong knowledge of GMP regulations, data integrity, and process optimization. Preferred: advanced scientific degrees.
