Senior Director, Project Engineering

Role: Senior Director of Process Engineering for biologics drug substance and cell/gene therapy manufacturing within AbbVie's Strategic Investment division. Objectives include establishing enterprise-wide engineering standards, technical governance, and supporting new facility builds, platform deployments, and advanced manufacturing capabilities. Responsibilities encompass leading technical strategy, process platform deployment, process package design, and overseeing project execution across multiple sites; ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards; and fostering cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, validation, EHS, and external vendors. Requirements: Bachelor's in Engineering, Science, or related field; 15+ years' experience in biologics or biopharma manufacturing, with proven expertise in process design, platform transfer, and project delivery; strong stakeholder management and technical leadership skills. Preferred: Advanced degree and experience supporting biologics, cell therapy, gene therapy, or viral vector platforms in regulated environments.
