Senior Director, Program & Portfolio Management

Role: Senior Director of Program & Portfolio Management leading R&D programs at Vera Therapeutics, focusing on cross-functional execution of Trutakna (atacicept-vymj) development. Responsibilities: own the integrated project plan, lead R&D governance, manage and mentor program teams, ensure strategic alignment with clinical and regulatory functions, and implement PMO best practices. Collaborate closely with senior leadership, including the EVP of Clinical Development and CMO, to maintain alignment and risk management in late-stage biologics development. Requirements: BA/BS with 15+ years in biotech/pharma, experience managing late-stage biologics development, direct BLA/NDA experience preferred, proven leadership of cross-functional teams and governance bodies, strong stakeholder management, and proficiency in program management tools like Smartsheet. Preferred: advanced degrees (PhD, MD, MBA), PMP certification, experience with biologics in autoimmune indications, and managing global teams. High-value specifics: biologics modality, late-stage development, R&D governance, cross-functional leadership, and experience working closely with senior executive teams on complex development programs.
