Job Description

This is a remote role available in all states within the United States. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application. We have a preference for candidates available to work during East Coast time hours. Candidates from any location are encouraged to apply.

The Sr. Director of Product Operations, CXM is responsible for end-to-end product release management collaborating with Sr. Product Managers for software development, managing the entire release process from planning, engineering, testing, to deployment and beyond. They ensure that product releases are well-coordinated, efficient, and align with product managers' goals and customer expectations.

Release Planning & Scheduling

Collaborates with product managers to define release scope, objectives, schedules, environment availability, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps across all squads (10+ at a time).

Coordination And Communication

They facilitate communication and collaboration between product management, development, quality assurance, and operations teams, ensuring everyone is on the same page.

Deployment Coordination

They manage and coordinate the actual deployment of software releases, including scheduling, preparation, merging, branching, product observability, and post-release monitoring.

Process Improvement

The product operation leader works to continuously improve release processes and practices, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency gains.

Platform Scalability And Technical Roadmap Insight

Provides insights to the technical and architectural roadmap, ensuring the release process supports scale, reliability and innovation.

Tooling

Ensures consistent use of J&J tools across squads: Jira, Nexus, CMDB, LeanIX, Roadmunk, etc.

Testing

Ensures consistent and comprehensive test automation strategy across product teams and coordinates end to end testing and performance testing.

Compliance

Ensures releases comply with internal audit, information security, regulatory compliance standards across global markets.

Documentation

They maintain comprehensive documentation of release plans, processes, and outcomes, ensuring a clear and transparent process.

Metrics & KPIs

Establishes and tracks key metrics (ex. deployment cadences, defect arrival pattern rates, MTTR, lead times, platform adoption rate, active unique users, feature adoption rate, etc.) to continuously improve product delivery.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience leading large transformation initiatives, with a proven track record in customer experience management.
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing engineering, product management, and operations teams.
  • Strong technical background in engineering, with extensive experience in product lifecycle management and engineering best practices.
  • Deep expertise in Agile methods and large, complex project delivery.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in GenAI automation, AI-driven workflows, and test automation.
  • Experience managing 20+ engineering teams within a matrix organizational structure.
  • Exceptional skills in designing and implementing reporting models for operational excellence.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator capable of engaging with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

$173,000.00- 299,000.00 USD Annually

Additional Description For Pay Transparency

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporationโ€™s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Companyโ€™s discretion on an individual basis.
