Sr. Director, Research Services Procurement

Responsibilities
- Lead strategic procurement for Research Services to support biopharmaceutical R&D and supplier relationships (including small/diverse suppliers).
- Develop and implement category strategies for Chemistry, Biology, Animal Sciences, Laboratory Equipment, and Scientific instrumentation.
- Negotiate and manage complex contracts; review/redline and negotiate with minimal supervision.
- Drive delivery of category value targets with finance/business stakeholders; present updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Establish supplier segmentation/relationship management, run business reviews, and manage KPIs/SLAs.
- Identify and execute cost reduction and savings initiatives; support budgets/resources.
- Lead cross-functional teams; mentor procurement professionals; succession planning.
- Incorporate AI/ML/Generative AI into category strategy; drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. required; M.S./M.B.A. preferred.
- 10–15 years international biopharmaceutical experience; 5 years multi-disciplined procurement.
- Advanced category management and strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Proven leadership of global cross-functional teams; cost/value improvement; change management.
- Procurement systems knowledge (Ariba preferred); certifications (CPM, CPSM, CSCP, CPIM) preferred.
- High willingness to travel domestically/internationally.
