In This Role You Will:
- Provide senior scientific partnership to CDLs (disease biology, biomarker strategy, novel treatment combinations).
- Ensure consistent cross-program ways of working to improve development efficiency and execution.
- Drive cross-program portfolio working groups and ensure business-level alignment.
- Drive/support clinical trial innovation based on the evolving oncology landscape (regulations, basic/translational science, emerging technologies such as AI-enabled tools).
- Strengthen scientific/strategic positioning of a pan-asset portfolio across multiple clinical and pre-clinical assets.
- Advance data and technology strategies supporting development decision-making.
- Shape engagement with external experts and governance bodies (e.g., advisory boards).
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape advancement of multiple oncology development programs; implement agreed disease strategy consistently.
- Prepare strategic analyses and portfolio recommendations for the Disease Area Vice President.
- Align/coordinate across Clinical Matrix Teams and cross-functional stakeholders (R&D, GMA, GPS).
- Drive disease-level discussions and portfolio planning/prioritization.
- Serve as subject matter expert for health authority interactions, regulatory submissions, and key milestones.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs/Masterโs/Advanced degree in scientific or medical discipline; oncology drug development expertise expected.
- 10+ years oncology drug development experience in pharma/biotech; involvement across multiple programs/assets.
- Experience with clinical development processes, regulatory pathways, and oncology therapeutic landscape.
- Matrix organization experience; senior-level decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Program leadership experience (e.g., Clinical Development Lead/Medical Director/Clinical Scientist Program Lead).
- Biomarker development/precision medicine/combination therapy expertise.
- Engagement with external experts, advisory groups, and Health Authorities.
- Influence senior stakeholders; shape strategic portfolio discussions.
- Trial innovation familiarity (AI/ML, adaptive trials, real-world evidence).
