Senior Director, Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance Business Operations

Role: Senior leadership position supporting the VP of Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance (PSPV) at Corcept, focused on streamlining global PV operations, governance, and organizational effectiveness. Responsibilities: organize leadership forums, develop KPIs and dashboards, support strategic decision-making, oversee resource planning and capacity, facilitate internal communications, and drive process improvements across safety functions. Collaborate closely with senior safety leadership, legal, procurement, HR, and technical teams. Qualifications: 12+ years in biopharma, with extensive PV or patient safety experience; demonstrated matrix leadership and strategic planning skills; proven ability to influence senior stakeholders. Preferred skills include strong knowledge of global PV regulations (FDA, EMA, ICH, GVP), organizational development, change management, and operational excellence. Educational background in healthcare or life sciences (Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine), with an MBA or similar advanced degree highly valued. Experience in managing cross-functional projects, global portfolios, and vendor contracts essential. High-value biopharma specifics: focus on pharmacovigilance, patient safety, and organizational governance within a large, innovative biopharma company dedicated to cortisol-related therapies for diseases like hypercortisolism, oncology, ALS, and liver disease. Work setup: HQ in Redwood City, California, full-time, US-based, with a salary range of $290,000–$350,000, commensurate with experience.
