Role: Senior Director, Oncology Clinical Intelligence & RWE Strategy, leading the Lung and HNSCC Therapeutic Area. Responsibilities: set strategic evidence generation plans, translate portfolio priorities into focused evidence agendas, design scientific programs addressing disease biology, patient stratification, trial interpretation, and treatment-effect heterogeneity; own evidence strategies supporting clinical development, Phase II/III transitions, regulatory interactions, and prospective evidence planning; lead clinical intelligence and real-world evidence synthesis to inform development, market access, and portfolio decisions; oversee multimodal and AI-enabled evidence workflows, ensuring methodological rigor and human oversight. Requirements: advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MSc) in relevant disciplines; 12+ years in clinical development, RWE, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related fields; demonstrated leadership in oncology evidence strategy, portfolio management, and multidisciplinary team influence; deep oncology expertise, particularly in lung and HNSCC, with familiarity in biomarkers, immuno-oncology, targeted therapies, and digital molecular data; strong background in causal inference, predictive modeling, multimodal data integration, and AI applications. High-Value: focus on lung and head and neck cancers, Phase II/III decision-making, regulatory evidence packages, advanced computational analytics, and AI-enabled workflows. Collaboration: works closely with clinical development, biometrics, regulatory, diagnostics, and other global functions. Work Setup: hybrid, with a minimum of three days/week in office at AstraZeneca hubs in Boston or Gaithersburg; travel not specified.
