Role Summary

Senior Director, Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaisons. Provides global field medical affairs leadership across the clinical stage portfolio and leads the Medical Science Liaisons team within the CMPA organization, coordinating with medical, commercial, and clinical development functions to support product strategy and compliant field engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and managerial oversight for Medical Affairs field teams on thought leader identification, engagements, insights gathering, and materials used for field engagement
  • Collaborate with medical affairs leadership, clinical development, and commercial teams to develop integrated molecule product strategies and coordinated, compliant customer interactions
  • Design and implement a multi-year roadmap for external scientific engagement capabilities, including MSL communications, material development, and resourcing
  • Define strategy for regional and national professional medical meetings, payer/health care organization engagements, and patient society activities to gather insights and support corporate activities
  • Develop and maintain an efficient, compliant operating model for field scientific engagement, including data dissemination and insights collection
  • Manage and evolve the CRM platform with proper documentation of interactions per policies and guidelines
  • Oversee MSL spend and budget management
  • Maintain high-quality SOP development, training, compliance, and IT platform utilization for the MSL organization
  • Oversee training and hiring of field medical personnel, lead direct reports through annual goal setting, growth planning, policy adherence, training compliance, and ongoing development feedback

Qualifications

  • PharmD, PhD, MD with demonstrated scientific excellence; neurology/neurodegeneration specialization preferred
  • 12+ years of experience including 10+ years in biopharma in a people-management role and 7+ years as an MSL
  • Proven excellence in people management
  • Strong understanding of global field medical regulations, standards, and guidelines
  • Experience designing and overseeing field team training and assessment programs
  • Track record of delivering tasks on time and within budget
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and collaborate across organizational levels
  • Travel required
