Role Summary

The Senior Director, Managed Access Programs (MAPs) leads global strategy, implementation, and management of Managed Access Programs across multiple disease areas to support health equity, ensure compliant and ethical patient access, and drive data capture and program efficiency. Reports to the Executive Director, Managed Access.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with partners to define and develop the managed access strategy for assets across multiple disease areas and ensure governance processes are followed.
  • MAP Oversight: Partner with GDO/RCO to operationalize MAPs, implement standardized policies, establish KPIs, and use data analytics to optimize programs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant program execution across global, regional, and local regulations.
  • Data Capture and Evidence Generation: Optimize data capture from MAPs and ensure compliance with country-specific regulations and privacy laws.
  • Training and Support: Provide training to internal teams on MAP processes and best practices.
  • Innovation: Foster an innovative culture and lead initiatives to enhance MAP approaches.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Degree in Life Sciences, Patient Access, Pharmacy, Public Health, or related field.
  • Industry Experience: 7+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech with at least 3 years in a managed access role; proven MAP management across disease areas.
  • Regulatory / Compliance Knowledge: Deep knowledge of global and local MAP regulations and guidelines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and interpersonal skills; able to influence across functions and levels.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
