Overview:

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven IT leader to own the technology vision and execution for Finance and the SAP Center of Excellence. Reporting to senior leadership, this role is accountable for delivering robust, scalable, and innovative solutions that power financial operations, accelerate decision-making, and enable strategic growth.

This leader will partner directly with the CFO and Finance executives to drive a multi-year digital finance transformation, leveraging SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other enterprise platforms to create a world-class Finance technology landscape.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Technology Leadership:

  • Serve as the primary IT business partner to the CFO and Finance leadership, translating financial objectives into actionable technology strategies.
  • Define and execute the Finance technology roadmap, ensuring solutions deliver measurable ROI and align with corporate strategy.
  • Lead end-to-end ERP transformation efforts, including system design, process optimization, automation, and data governance.

SAP Center of Excellence Oversight:

  • Lead the SAP COE, ensuring best-in-class configuration, integration, security, and performance across the enterprise.
  • Champion SAP S/4HANA adoption, driving standardization, simplification, and user enablement.
  • Optimize procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, and financial planning processes through SAP and integrated applications.

Operational Execution & Vendor Management:

  • Oversee the delivery, enhancement, and support of Finance systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance with SOX and other applicable regulations.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure partner performance meets enterprise standards.
  • Drive the adoption of cloud, AI, and advanced analytics to improve forecasting, scenario modeling, and real-time reporting.

Executive Communication & Influence:

  • Present complex technology strategies in clear, outcome-focused language to executive leadership and the Board as needed.
  • Build cross-functional alignment and secure executive sponsorship for Finance technology initiatives.

Leadership & Talent Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of Finance IT and SAP professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop succession plans and strategic talent pipelines for critical IT and SAP roles.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership, with a minimum of 10 years in Finance systems and ERP strategy.
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance, including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Controlling, and integration with Procurement and Supply Chain.
  • Proven experience in large-scale ERP implementations, global rollouts, and process re-engineering.
  • Strong command of financial operations — accounting, FP&A, treasury, procurement, compliance, and audit support.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage advanced analytics, BI tools, and data visualization to drive insights.
  • Exceptional executive presence and ability to influence at the C-suite and Board level.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Professional, PMP, ITIL) strongly preferred.
