Responsibilities:
- Design, stand up, and lead a fit-for-purpose IT PMO to bring predictability and discipline to initiative scoping, resourcing, and execution
- Build and develop Project/Program Managers; implement structured intake and prioritization; maintain real-time portfolio visibility across status, risks, dependencies, and financial performance
- Drive delivery accountability across the IT portfolio; surface trade-offs/resource conflicts to the CIO/IT Leadership Team with recommended paths forward
- Partner with CIO/ITLT to define and continuously refine IT delivery operating model (frameworks, governance mechanisms, ways of working)
- Own delivery methodology standards; maintain IT governance calendar and executive reporting cadence; steward IT ways of working
- Lead day-to-day IT budget administration with Finance (actuals, forecasting, variance analysis, annual planning)
- Build/maintain financial reporting tools for real-time spend visibility; identify risks and optimization opportunities
- Maintain consolidated view of IT vendor relationships, contract terms, renewal timelines, and performance
- Partner with ITLT leaders, Procurement, and Legal to ensure agreements are current/compliant; coordinate strategic multi-function vendor governance
- Serve on the IT Leadership Team to align delivery planning and portfolio prioritization to business strategy
- Represent IT in executive and cross-functional forums
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree; 12+ years progressive IT experience with significant delivery leadership/portfolio management/IT operational leadership (or equivalent)
- Proven success building or transforming a PMO/delivery function from the ground up
- Experience in IT financial management/budget administration/technology business management; comfortable owning financial operations with Finance
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program/project management credential required
- Proven ability to lead and develop PM talent and build delivery capability
- Experience in life sciences/biopharma or regulated industry environment
- Strong leadership presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Ability to translate complex operational information into executive-ready communications/governance materials
- Ability to establish and mature operational frameworks; navigate ambiguity while building long-term scalability
