Key Responsibilities
Investor Relations:
- Design and implement an effective investor relations program that enhances understanding of and confidence in Ironwood’s vision, mission and strategy among members of the investment community.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Ironwood’s business and strategy to effectively communicate the company’s execution in a clear and compelling manner.
- Build and strengthen relationships with current and prospective investors.
- Provide analytics and tracking (e.g., quarterly stock activity report, research analysts’ valuations and financial models, investor perceptions, and other market intelligence) to facilitate enhanced engagement.
- Implement strategic investor and analyst targeting to maximize long-term value.
- Lead development of materials for quarterly and annual earnings results, including press releases, conference call scripts, slides, key messages, and Q&A.
- Lead development of press releases, PowerPoint presentations, and other investor communications.

Corporate Communications:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communications strategy aligned with company vision, values, and business goals; manage internal and external communications with consistency and clarity.
- Write and produce high-quality content for corporate materials (press releases, blog posts, newsletters, annual reports, and executive communications) aligned to the corporate narrative and business objectives.
- Cultivate relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers; respond to media inquiries with timely and accurate responses.
- Support crisis communication plans and manage media inquiries as applicable; monitor and manage corporate reputation in traditional and social media.
- Oversee and update the company website with current developments, research updates, clinical trials, investor relations content, and other corporate information; collaborate cross-functionally to create engaging content.
- Coordinate a unified communication calendar to align efforts, key dates, and messages across departments.
- Develop and implement internal communications strategies to keep employees informed and engaged; foster a positive internal culture through transparent and consistent communication.

Qualifications
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in investor relations and corporate communications within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industries.
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred (not required).
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry trends, clinical development processes, and investor relations practices.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic communication plans and produce content across a variety of formats.
- Experience managing corporate websites and digital content.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance guidelines for corporate and investor communications in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Experience working with executives and preparing presentations/materials for external and internal audiences.
- Professionalism and confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Ability to think strategically and proactively manage organizational communications needs.
- Travel requirement up to 20%.
