Role Summary
Senior Director, Insights and Analytics (I&A), Oncology (Skin) will oversee a high-performing team responsible for generating actionable insights from a broad set of I&A sources to inform business decisions. The role reports to the Executive Director, I&A (Oncology) within the Commercial Strategy and Insights and Analytics (CSI&A) department, and will partner with senior leaders to drive launch excellence and talent development within the Oncology CSI&A team. The role serves as a strategic advisor to the VP of Marketing (Oncology) and the Executive Director, Oncology (Skin).
Responsibilities
- Lead the I&A Oncology (Skin) team in providing business analytics, customer insights and competitive intelligence to address all commercialization needs.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, I&A (Oncology) to set the strategic I&A direction that aligns with overarching Oncology Commercial Business Unit (CBU) priorities and helps drive launch excellence.
- Foster innovative solutions and a design-thinking approach aligned with strategies for Regeneron’s oncology skin business.
- Develop people from both a functional skills and leadership perspective, with the goal of growing internal talent.
- Assess and implement novel methodologies and frameworks to garner meaningful insights to inform business decisions in a manner that keeps pace with the speed of the Oncology (Skin) operating environment; and enhance brand differentiation and impact.
- Lead efforts to identify and crystalize insights that inform strategic plans for Regeneron’s Oncology (Skin) portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Oncology CBU and other members of senior leadership to identify, predict and inform business decisions relating to the competitive outlook for Oncology/Skin, and any pipeline Oncology (Skin) medicines.
- Develop and maintain a mutually beneficial partnership with CBU stakeholders; ensure insight generation and feedback are embraced; strike a balance between project rigor, timelines and ability to influence decisions.
- Coordinate alignment with Oncology (Skin) stakeholders within the CBU and other functions on all insights and analytics agendas.
- Work with other CSI&A leaders to develop standardized adoption of capabilities such as marketing mix, promotional optimization, data science, market structure analysis, patient/treatment flow modeling, analog modeling and AI/ML methodologies across CSI&A.
- Proactively communicate with the Oncology (Skin) CBU and provide strategic recommendations and insights as well as anticipated future needs.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, I&A Oncology, construct and deliver integrated business reviews, I&A summary overviews with leadership from Oncology/Skin and CSI&A.
Qualifications
- Functional expertise in business analytics, HCP consumer/patient insights, primary research methods, analog forecast development and competitive intelligence.
- Prior experience managing I&A groups with responsibility for analytics, HCP consumer/patient insights, market access analytics, and competitive intelligence.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment, as it relates to commercialization in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
- Knowledge of data industry standards.
- Proven ability to influence, communicate and negotiate with all levels of management across functional and business unit boundaries.
- Extensive experience with managing numerous projects concurrently against stringent deadlines.
- Prior experience working with I&A projects and initiatives where a balance between project rigor and timeliness was needed.
- Ability to think strategy to execution, with hands-on experience in implementing large initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Expertise in data visualization and data storytelling.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflict, drive consensus and work across multiple departments.
- Strong organizational, project management, influencing and change management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently, while meeting stringent deadlines.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.
