Role Summary

Senior Director, Insights & Analytics (I&A) - Dermatology responsible for leading a high-performing I&A team to generate actionable insights and inform business decisions within the Dermatology portfolio, partnering with senior leaders and driving talent development within CSI&A (Immunology).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the I&A Dermatology team in providing business analytics, customer insights and competitive intelligence to address all commercialization needs
  • Set the strategic I&A direction that aligns with overarching Dermatology priorities and helps drive launch excellence
  • Foster innovative solutions and a design-thinking approach aligned with strategies for the dermatology business
  • Develop people from both a functional skills and leadership perspective, with the goal of growing internal talent
  • Assess and implement novel methodologies and frameworks to garner meaningful insights to inform business decisions and enhance brand differentiation and impact
  • Lead efforts to identify and crystalize insights that inform strategic plans for Dermatology
  • Collaborate with the Dermatology CBU and other senior leaders to inform business decisions relating to the competitive outlook for Dermatology and related medicines
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with CBU stakeholders; balance project rigor, timelines and influence
  • Coordinate alignment with Alliance counterparts and stakeholders on insights and analytics agendas
  • Work with CSI&A leaders to standardize adoption of capabilities across I&A (marketing mix, promotional optimization, data science, market structure analysis, patient/treatment modeling, ML/AI)
  • Proactively communicate with Dermatology CBUs and provide strategic recommendations and insights and anticipated future needs
  • Construct and deliver integrated business reviews and I&A overviews with Dermatology and CSI&A leadership

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (masters preferred) with 15+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience; immunology experience desired
  • 15+ years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience in Commercial roles with increasing responsibilities
  • Functional expertise in business analytics, HCP consumer/patient insights, primary research methods, analog forecast development and competitive intelligence
  • Experience managing I&A groups with analytics, insights, market access analytics, and competitive intelligence
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment related to pharmaceutical/biotechnology commercialization
  • Knowledge of data industry standards
  • Ability to influence, communicate and negotiate with all levels of management
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently against stringent deadlines
  • Experience balancing project rigor and timeliness in I&A initiatives
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on implementation experience for large cross-functional initiatives
  • Expertise in data visualization and data storytelling
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills; conflict resolution and consensus-building
  • Organizational, project management, influencing and change management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and meet deadlines
  • Preferred: experience working in an Alliance partnership
