Role Overview / Responsibilities:
- Partner with Pharmacology, DMPK, Toxicology, and Translational Science leaders to shape and deliver the non-clinical technology roadmap.
- Lead deployment of GenAI/agentic and predictive AI/ML capabilities for non-clinical workflows (predictive safety, in silico DMPK, histopathology image AI, study design support).
- Ensure high-fidelity capture of non-clinical data in source systems and smooth flow to R&D Data curation.
- Work with scientific, quality, and operational stakeholders to support animal welfare/IACUC-related and study-governance workflows.
- Enable non-clinical safety signal detection and risk characterization via analytics, integrated data flows, and decision-support tools.
- Partner with Development so clinical findings feed back into non-clinical model validation/refinement.
- Ensure operational excellence/reliability of non-clinical applications, modeling environments, and analytics.
- Lead and develop a team of scientific technologists, AI/ML engineers, product leaders, and application specialists.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Bioinformatics, or related (Ph.D. preferred).
- 12–15+ years in pharmaceutical R&D with strong preclinical/translational exposure.
- Deep knowledge of in-vivo pharmacology, DMPK/ADME, safety/toxicology, and bioanalytical workflows.
- Proven leadership of applications/digital products/AI in non-clinical R&D (predictive safety, in silico DMPK, or histopathology image AI).
- Experience in GLP-adjacent regulated environments and IACUC-related processes.
- Director/Senior Director-level leadership.
