Senior Director, Immunology

Role: Senior Director of Immunology leading research and development efforts for Vertex's cell and genetic therapy portfolio, focusing on immunomodulatory approaches for allogeneic transplantation and T1D. Responsibilities: oversee multiple research programs, develop and execute immunology strategies, lead cross-functional teams in target and candidate identification, and foster collaborations internally and externally. Provide scientific leadership, resource management, and mentorship to high-performing teams. Requirements: PhD/MD in immunology, molecular biology, or related field; 12+ years industry experience in immunology; proven capability in advancing therapies across modalities including cell and genetic therapies; expertise in immunological models and advanced cellular/molecular techniques.
