Role Summary

The Senior Director, HTA, Value & Evidence (HV&E) – Lung Cancer & Precision Medicine leads the global evidence generation and HEOR strategy to support PF-08046054 and Pfizer’s thoracic cancer franchise. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure timely access and value demonstration for global HTA submissions and price negotiations, with responsibilities spanning launch deliverables and post-launch evidence. Reports to the Senior Director HV&E Team Lead - Lung Cancer & Precision Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategy to support the value of PF-08046054 and the thoracic cancer franchise in close partnership with the cross-functional matrix team
  • Lead the design and execution of Global HEOR studies and projects (including non-interventional studies, registries, burden of illness studies, economic models, epidemiologic studies etc.)
  • Incorporate humanistic and economic endpoints into clinical trials across all phases of product development to build comprehensive trial-based evidence in line with overall medical strategy for the assets and to ensure global reimbursement and access requirements
  • Provide strategic input in the selection of relevant patient population and comparators within clinical trials to enable successful negotiations, reimbursement, and appropriate patient access with global payer and regulatory decision makers
  • Lead the timely development of launch and post launch deliverables including global value dossiers, access evidence plans, value and evidence strategies, economic models, and innovative tools to successfully support global launches
  • Partner with the countries to understand their evidence needs and lead the coordination of input from local country/regional teams on global evidence generation to ensure that the input is appropriately incorporated into key HTA deliverables (economic models, global dossiers, RWE)
  • Communicate and educate internal and external stakeholders on PF-08046054 RWE, develop RWE narratives and provide advice on how to utilize RWE/RWD
  • Develop strategic partnerships and research collaborations with key external experts, healthcare policy makers, payers, and various academic and community settings to support asset strategies
  • Provide strategic guidance and content guidance in reimbursement (re)negotiations for PF-08046054
  • Lead the development of appropriate data dissemination plans and communicate evidence generated via publications and conference presentations
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g. medical, access strategy, payer marketing) to ensure appropriate customer facing dissemination of HEOR materials per FDA guidance and internal SOPs

Qualifications

  • Required: Master’s degree in public health, health economics or allied discipline with 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry, HEOR consulting, HEOR academic roles, or related industry; 7+ years of experience required with Doctorate degree (PharmD, PhD, DrPH)
  • Required: Deep expertise in HEOR technical knowledge, policy impact, and extensive experience in planning and executing on HEOR strategy/alignment (RWE, PROs and economic modelling)
  • Required: High-level leadership, ability to develop and drive TA, Product, organizational strategy, and mentor future leaders
  • Required: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects involving complex processes, significant budget, competing deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities
  • Required: Wide professional networks and established track record of working with external KOLs
  • Required: Ability to influence key members of scientific and commercial teams, constructively and strategically, with minimal conflicts
  • Required: Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Required: Strong collaborator and team-player
  • Required: Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
  • Preferred: Experience in non-small cell lung cancer from an HEOR perspective
  • Preferred: Expertise in technical and methodological aspects of RWE such as retrospective and prospective observational study design and implementation in US and other countries (real world evidence)
  • Preferred: In depth understanding of HEOR methods, including advanced modelling techniques, health-related quality of life, other PRO measures and macroeconomics
  • Preferred: Experience in HTA submissions and managing country/regional matrix partners

Education

  • Master’s degree in public health, health economics or allied discipline
  • Doctorate degree (PharmD, PhD, DrPH) preferred for advanced experience

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally based on business needs
  • Hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence 2 to 3 days per week
  • Ability to work across all US time zones
  • Not eligible for relocation package
