Position Summary
Strategic leadership in epidemiology at the above-asset level and leading a global team of Vaccines and Infectious Disease (VID) epidemiologists across the R&D matrix. Develop and implement epidemiologic studies and measurement strategies using real-world data (RWD) and advanced methods.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership/direction for VID epidemiology across above-asset and asset-level teams.
- Lead and develop a global team; ensure delivery of high-quality scientific outputs.
- Oversee design and execution of epidemiological studies (observational and real-world evidence).
- Contribute to governance forums; shape epidemiology strategy at portfolio level.
- Review/guide epidemiology content for regulatory submissions, publications, and scientific presentations.
- Establish/maintain external collaborations with academic, public health, and research organisations.
- Drive innovation via new methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Represent the organisation with regulators and at scientific conferences.

Basic Qualifications (Required)
- PhD, or MD with MPH, in epidemiology, public health, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience in epidemiology (pharma, academia, or government).
- Experience designing and conducting observational or safety studies.
- Experience in vaccines or infectious disease epidemiology.
- People leadership/line management.
- Experience contributing to regulatory documents, scientific publications, or study reports.

Preferred Qualifications
- Lead complex epidemiology programs in vaccines/infectious diseases.
- Post-authorisation safety studies; knowledge of regulatory expectations.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders/governance bodies.
- Advanced RWE methods; peer-reviewed publications and/or conference contributions.
- Knowledge of regulatory/scientific landscape for RWE in vaccine/drug development.
- Manage multiple high-priority projects in a matrix environment.

Working Arrangement
UK/US/Amsterdam/Belgium; hybrid with regular on-site presence.
