Role Summary
The Senior Director, Head of U.S. HCP Marketing for PAH (TPIP) will shape and execute the professional and payer marketing strategy to ensure successful U.S. launch readiness and long-term adoption, focused on the U.S. market.
This role emphasizes HCP engagement, advancing scientific education, and developing payer value propositions, with responsibility for building and developing a high-performing brand team.
Responsibilities
- Develop the professional brand strategy for PAH, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market frameworks tailored to HCPs.
- Lead campaign development to educate and engage PAH specialists, community physicians, and allied healthcare providers.
- Partner with Medical Affairs to ensure scientific and clinical insights inform HCP strategies.
- Identify key insights and translate to clear, actionable strategies
- Lead development and implementation of tactical plans for health care professionals
- Build and implement a clear, concise value proposition, with supporting messaging, for health care professionals to be delivered through a comprehensive launch plan
- Support franchise launch readiness by representing the brand in go-to-market and organizational design builds
- Build and prepare brand strategy with future indications in mind
- Actively participate and represent Brand in various cross-functional meetings
- Build a robust medical education plan for both disease awareness and post-launch
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HCP experts and professional societies
- Work with the financial partner to identify and manage HCP resources
- Be a product champion and maintain knowledge of therapy areas
- Ensure a culture of compliance for the commercial team
Responsibilities (continued)
- Lead integrated U.S. launch readiness for HCP and payer channels in PAH
- Oversee tactical planning, sequencing, KPIs, and execution to support TPIP adoption at launch
- Collaborate with global and regional colleagues to align professional and marketing efforts with PAH brand strategy
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Effectiveness to ensure alignment of U.S. HCP activities with field execution
- Partner with Agency of Record and cross-functional partners, including ex-US colleagues
- Work with Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial Operations to align and compliantly execute key tactical activities
- Collaborate with Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Clinical colleagues to ensure compliant and integrated professional and payer campaigns
- Work with Advocacy, Corporate Communications, and Investor Relations to ensure consistent external messaging
- Collaborate with Global Marketing teams in Europe and Japan to align and harmonize brand strategy with geography-specific execution
Franchise Collaboration
- Partner with the Senior Director, HCP Marketing Lead to ensure alignment across indications
- Contribute to the TPIP franchise strategy by incorporating HCP perspectives for PAH
- Support cross-indication planning to maximize TPIP impact across PAH and fibrosing ILDs
Market, Competitive, and Customer Insights
- Identify insights and translate to actionable strategies
- Monitor market trends, payer policy changes, and competitor activities
- Integrate HCP insights to refine marketing strategies and inform lifecycle planning
- Support new indication and formulation strategies for TPIP with a focus on professional adoption and payer access
Who You Are
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA/advanced degree preferred
- 10β12+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech, with at least 8 years in HCP, payer, or market access marketing
- Proven success in developing and executing launch strategies targeting HCPs in specialty or rare diseases
- Experience in PAH, cardiopulmonary, or respiratory areas preferred
- Strong leadership and influencing skills with cross-functional teams
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including executive updates
- Strategic thinker with analytical, problem-solving, and execution skills
- People management experience preferred
- Ability to build relationships and influence others
- Experience with global colleagues and multi-brand/franchise environments preferred
- Start-up or mid-cap company experience highly desired
- Orphan or rare disease experience and patient community engagement preferred
- Familiarity with regulatory and promotional review processes
- Proven track record of delivering strong commercial results and US product launches
- Excellent verbal and written communication; highly organized with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a dynamic, diverse workplace
Location & Travel
Bridgewater, NJ HQ with hybrid flexibility or remote with onsite expectations; up to 30% travel (domestic and international).
