Position Summary
Senior Director, Head of Marketing (Calci/encaleret) — rare disease commercialization leader owning the full Calci marketing function (HCP marketing, patient marketing, and KOL engagement) under an integrated brand strategy. Report to SVP, Sales & Marketing — Endocrinology; on-site in San Francisco and Palo Alto offices weekly.

What You’ll Do
Brand Strategy & Launch Leadership
- Own Calci brand strategy end-to-end (positioning, messaging, segmentation, go-to-market sequencing) from pre-NDA through Year 1+ commercialization.
- Lead brand planning milestones and launch readiness assessments; deliver BOD-level reporting.
- Embed market realities into cross-functional planning (Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Patient Advocacy).
- Build competitive intelligence for ADH1/hypoparathyroidism and translate insights into strategy.
- Partner with Value & Access to integrate payer value/access into brand planning.

People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a 4-person team (Director HCP Marketing, Director Patient Marketing, 2 KOL Engagement Leads).
- Build a patient-first, rigorous, high-performing marketing culture.

HCP/Patient/KOL/Analytics
- Oversee HCP promotional platform, advisory boards, and segmentation/targeting.
- Guide DTC/patient strategy; oversee patient support ecosystem; champion familial cascade testing.
- Direct KOL strategy and congress presence; govern speaker bureau.
- Build forecasting/KPIs; present commercial updates and build metrics-driven accountability.

Who You Are (Qualifications)
- 12+ years biotech/pharma commercialization; 7+ years marketing.
- Prior people management; rare disease launch experience required (endocrinology/nephrology preferred).
- Brand strategy ownership through launch; KOL engagement/advisory board experience.
- Simultaneous HCP + patient marketing experience; comfort in pre-launch high-ambiguity environments.
- FDA promotional/fair balance and rare-disease compliance knowledge.
- Strong executive presentation skills; travel ~25%.
- Bachelor’s required; MBA or advanced science preferred.
