Role Summary

The Senior Director, Global Workplace (GWP) will lead strategic planning and operations for Jazz’s global facilities and real estate portfolio. This role ensures alignment with Jazz’s hybrid work model (Remix) and partners closely with HR, IT, and senior leadership to deliver workplace solutions that support business needs across regions. This position oversees six direct reports located in the US, UK, and Ireland who manage six main offices and approximately 10 satellite locations globally, focusing on optimizing workplace operations, managing the GWP budget and real estate portfolio, and driving cost efficiency while supporting employee experience and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a global facilities team, focusing on performance, growth, and succession planning.
  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations, ensuring timely resolution of requests and cross-functional support.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Legal, HR, R&D, Commercial, Technical Operations and IT to ensure the GWP strategy supports the Remix hybrid work model and corporate objectives.
  • Drive change management initiatives, including M&A integrations.
  • Manage GWP budgets and long-range plans; source and oversee vendors for workplace services.
  • Design and implement effective global workplace strategies that support the Remix hybrid working model.
  • Develop and monitor short and long-term global facilities plans and budgets for each region, ensuring key metrics are met.
  • Forecast global real estate needs and maintain market intelligence through relationships with brokers, landlords, and developers.
  • Coordinate office site selection and present strategic options to executives and site leaders; develop key metrics to support real estate decisions.
  • Negotiate leases and amendments with Legal and Procurement to secure favorable terms; review lease language and develop work letters and milestones in collaboration with Legal.
  • Oversee construction projects from inception to completion, including vendor selection, design, planning, and relocation; ensure projects meet business requirements.
  • Participate in construction meetings and coordinate with IT to ensure their requirements are integrated into the design and construction process.
  • Serve as a core member of the Remix team, providing insights on the effectiveness of the hybrid model.
  • Support the implementation of Connection Days, Anchor days, and other initiatives that improve employee connection and collaboration.
  • Provide direction and support change management initiatives related to the Remix model and its evolution.
  • Develop, implement and oversee EH&S programs including ergonomics and security protocols; enhance security levels and implement global Emergency Action Plans and notification systems.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to assess complex issues, communicate clearly, and develop timely, effective solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of EH&S, security, and risk management.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and engineering reports.
  • Proficient in creating and managing spreadsheets and developing clear, impactful presentations.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude, integrity, and reliability; strategic thinker with a broad organizational perspective.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of your time.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, business, or engineering preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in facilities management, construction, and multi-national leasing, ideally in a multi-national company.
