Role Summary
The Senior Director, Global Product Strategy - Operations leads global commercial operations for the neurology and immunology portfolio, translating scientific innovation into long-term brand and business value. You will link strategic development to operational excellence, lead the global business planning cycle, and drive governance, stakeholder alignment, and launch-excellence practices. This role partners with R&D, BD, and regional leaders across the matrix to accelerate portfolio growth. This role can be based out of Parsippany, NJ or the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Partner with R&D, BD, and regional leaders to streamline governance and accelerate portfolio growth.
- Serve as secretariat for the GPS Leadership Team, Innovation Medicines Steering Committee, and Innovation Commercial Committee—ensuring meetings are purposeful, aligned, and well-executed.
- Lead the Annual Business Planning process, including the refresh of global brand plans for key assets.
- Design and implement a streamlined, inclusive planning process that engages key functions and regions.
- Develop and embed Launch Excellence best practices in collaboration with Global Commercial TA leads, including external benchmarking.
- Coordinate global commercial input for quarterly investor meetings.
- Lead preparation of the Global Commercial Strategy QBR and other executive management deliverables.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial, marketing, or sales leadership roles, including significant people leadership.
- Proven track record of developing strategies that drive long-term commercial success.
- Recent experience in a Tier 1 market (US or EU5) preferred, ideally within the last 5 years.
- Senior marketing experience in a market or LOC, preferably as a launch lead with global stakeholder collaboration.
- Experience across multiple therapeutic areas; experience leading complex global projects is preferred.
- Strategic thinker with a strong track record of performance delivery.
- Recognized expert with deep knowledge of best practices and current market trends.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop talent.
- Operates with autonomy and accountability in a global matrix environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or other advanced degree preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Travel up to 20% to support key meetings and cross-functional planning.
